Exterior House Painting in Castleton Corners, Staten Island

    Project Overview

This exterior painting project in Castleton Corners focused on restoring heavily weathered aluminum siding and giving the entire home a clean, uniform finish. We painted the aluminum siding, trim, fascia, gutters, downspouts, columns, and metal window bars after completing extensive cleaning, priming, and surface preparation.

         Removing Mildew and Heavy Chalking

The aluminum siding had not been maintained for some time, allowing mildew and chalky residue to build up across the exterior. We thoroughly power washed and scrubbed the siding to remove the contamination and create a clean surface for the new coatings.

    Priming for Proper Adhesion

Because of the condition of the aluminum siding, we applied Sherwin-Williams Extreme Bond Primer throughout the exterior to promote strong adhesion. The columns had never previously been painted, so they were also fully primed before receiving their finish coats.

    Preparing the Metal Window Bars

The metal window bars required additional preparation before painting. We ground down the surfaces to remove loose and deteriorated material, creating a smoother and more stable foundation for the new coating.

    A Clean, Uniform White Finish

The siding, trim, fascia, gutters, downspouts, columns, and window bars were finished with Sherwin-Williams Duration in Extra White SW 7006. The completed project gave the home a brighter, cleaner appearance while providing durable protection for the exterior surfaces.

Interior House Painting in Midland Beach, Staten Island

      Project Overview

This Midland Beach project combined exterior restoration with interior corrective work after a previous painter left behind several visible defects. Outside, the front door had extensive cracking and peeling paint that required proper repairs before it could be refinished. Inside, we were hired to correct roller marks, repair an improperly finished ceiling patch, fix cracked ceiling coffers, and repaint areas that had been completed with the wrong products.

      Restoring the Front Door

The existing finish had failed, leaving the paint cracked and peeling across much of the door. After removing the failing material, damaged areas were rebuilt with Bondo, sanded smooth, and spray finished using a custom color-matched Sherwin-Williams Forte coating for a durable, factory-like finish.

      Correcting Previous Painting Mistakes

The interior required much more than touch-ups. A poorly repaired ceiling patch remained visible, heavy roller marks covered several walls, and the bathroom ceiling had been painted with an unsuitable product. Rather than trying to blend isolated areas, we reprimed the repaired ceiling and repainted the entire surface to create a consistent appearance throughout the room.

      Eliminating Roller Marks

Roller marks are often caused by using too little paint on the roller or failing to maintain a wet edge while painting. The result is an uneven texture and sheen that's especially noticeable in natural light. We repainted the affected walls to restore a smooth, uniform finish.

      Durable Repairs for High-Moisture Areas

Cracked ceiling coffers were repaired with wood filler before painting. The main ceilings were finished with Sherwin-Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint, while the bathroom ceiling received Sherwin-Williams Duration Matte for improved moisture resistance and long-term durability.

Interior Painting & Color Drench Project in Silver Lake, Staten Island

        Project Overview

This interior painting project in Silver Lake, Staten Island focused on transforming the home's kitchen and entryway with bold, carefully selected color palettes. Before painting began, minor plaster repairs were completed to create a smooth surface for a clean, professional finish.

The entryway was designed to make a strong first impression. The walls and ceiling were painted in Sherwin-Williams Persimmon (SW 6339), while the doors and trim were finished in Sherwin-Williams Baked Clay (SW 6340). The combination creates a warm, inviting entrance with plenty of character and demonstrates how thoughtfully chosen color can completely change the feel of a space.

The new living room color brought a completely different feel to the space. We painted the walls with Sherwin-Williams Duration in Deer Valley (SW 7720), creating a warm, inviting look that made the brick fireplace and custom built-in shelves stand out as the room's focal points. The updated color tied everything together while giving the space a fresh, modern appearance that complemented the home's existing character.

The kitchen was finished using a color drench approach, with Sherwin-Williams Limewash (SW 9589) applied to the walls, ceiling, and trim. Painting every surface the same color creates a seamless appearance that gives the room added depth while maintaining a soft, cohesive look.

As with every interior painting project, careful preparation and attention to detail helped ensure crisp lines, even coverage, and a durable finish that the homeowner can enjoy for years to come.

Exterior House Painting & Restoration in West Brighton, Staten Island

          Project Overview

This exterior painting project in West Brighton, Staten Island involved much more than simply applying a fresh coat of paint. The home's siding, trim, windows, doors, brick foundation, wood columns, porch floors, and front steps all required extensive preparation and restoration before painting could begin.

The project started with a thorough power wash followed by scraping, sanding, and spot priming to create a sound surface for painting. Particular attention was given to restoring the original wood columns, which required extensive sanding to remove years of weathering and failing paint. The garage also required significant repair work, including stripping the garage doors back to a solid surface and repairing damaged siding before any finish coats were applied. The front porch steps were completely stripped to ensure a durable, long-lasting finish.

The siding was finished with Sherwin-Williams Duration in Ellie Gray (SW 7650), while the brick foundation and porch were painted in Stolen Kiss (SW 7586) for a bold contrast. The porch floors and steps were coated with Sherwin-Williams Porch & Floor Enamel in the same color, and a non-slip texture additive was incorporated into the coating to improve traction and help reduce the risk of slipping in wet conditions.

Projects like this demonstrate that a quality exterior paint job depends on far more than the final coat of paint. Careful preparation, detailed repairs, and the right products all work together to produce a finish that not only looks great but is built to last.

Exterior House Painting in Midland Beach, Staten Island

            Project Overview

This exterior painting project in Midland Beach, Staten Island included the stucco siding, trim, fascia, gutters, and downspouts on both the main house and detached garage. Before painting began, the exterior was thoroughly power washed and scrubbed to remove dirt and buildup. Damaged areas of stucco were repaired and primed before the finish coats were applied.

At approximately 40 feet high in some areas, safely reaching the upper portions of the home required renting a lift. The height, combined with the heavily textured stucco, made careful application especially important throughout the project.

Stucco can be challenging to paint because its deep, uneven texture creates recessed areas that are easy to miss. Paint needs to be worked into the surface and applied from multiple angles to achieve consistent coverage and minimize the "shadows" that can appear when recessed areas receive less paint.

For this project we used Sherwin-Williams Loxon Self-Cleaning Acrylic Coating, a product designed specifically for masonry and stucco surfaces. Its self-cleaning technology helps dirt wash away when it rains, while providing excellent resistance to weathering, chalking, and fading which makes it a great choice for keeping stucco exteriors looking clean and fresh longer. Touch of Sand (SW 9085) was used on the main body and Universal Khaki (SW 6150) was used on the foundation and trim to create contrast while maintaining a warm, cohesive exterior.

Exterior House Painting in Prince's Bay, Staten Island

              Project Overview

This exterior painting project in Prince's Bay focused on restoring weathered trim and giving one side of the home a fresh, durable finish. We painted the siding, windows, doors, trim, soffits, gutters, and a detached shed after completing extensive preparation to ensure the new coatings would perform for years to come.

              Thorough Surface Preparation

Much of the project time was spent preparing the surfaces before any paint was applied. The window trim and shed required heavy scraping and sanding to remove failing paint and create a solid foundation for the new finish. Nail holes, trim gaps, and uneven scraped areas were repaired with wood filler and sanded smooth to create crisp, uniform lines before painting.

              Restoring the Shed

The shed was refinished using Sherwin-Williams WoodScapes Solid Color Stain, color matched to complement the home while providing long-lasting protection for the wood surfaces.

              Clean, Durable Exterior Finish

The home's trim, windows, doors, soffits, and gutters were finished with Sherwin-Williams Duration Exterior in Extra White, providing a durable coating designed to withstand Staten Island's changing weather while delivering clean, sharp lines throughout the exterior.

              A Happy Customer

The homeowner was so pleased with the results that they immediately scheduled us to return to complete the remaining three sides of the home's siding as well as repaint the entire interior. We always appreciate when quality workmanship earns a customer's trust for future projects.

Exterior House Painting in Randall Manor, Staten Island

                Project Overview

This exterior painting project in Randall Manor, Staten Island included repainting the home's asbestos shingle siding along with the window trim, fascia, soffits, gutters, and downspouts. Before painting began, the exterior was thoroughly power washed to remove dirt, chalking, and loose debris, creating a clean surface for proper paint adhesion. Damaged asbestos shingles were also replaced and repaired before the finish coats were applied.

Unlike many modern siding materials, asbestos shingles feature deep grooves and textured edges that require extra attention during application. Proper technique helps ensure the paint reaches the recessed areas evenly, creating a consistent finish across the entire exterior without heavy buildup on the raised surfaces.

The home was finished with Sherwin-Williams Duration in Oak Creek (SW 7718), giving the exterior a warm, updated appearance while providing long-lasting protection against Staten Island's changing weather conditions. Careful preparation, quality materials, and attention to detail helped deliver a durable finish designed to look great for years to come.

Interior Painting & Popcorn Ceiling Removal in Bulls Head, Staten Island

                  Project Overview

This interior painting project in Bulls Head, Staten Island gave the homeowner's main living space a clean, modern update. Before painting could begin, the existing popcorn ceiling was completely removed, followed by drywall repairs, patching, and replacement of cracked drywall tape to create a smooth, uniform surface.

Once the preparation work was complete, the living room and dining room were painted with Sherwin-Williams Duration in Westhighland White (SW 7566), creating a bright, timeless finish that reflects natural light throughout the space. To add contrast and create a focal point, one wall was finished in Sherwin-Williams Naval (SW 6244), giving the room a bold accent while complementing the lighter surrounding walls.

As with every interior painting project, careful preparation and attention to detail were essential to achieving a clean, durable finish. Removing the popcorn texture and repairing the drywall before painting created a much smoother surface and helped ensure a professional-looking result that will hold up well over time.
